Last night I photographed the LIVESTRONG event that took place at the Denver Capitol. The evening was dedicated to support those who have been effected by cancer. It’s heartbreaking to think that almost all of us have been effected by this disease in one way or another. I am grateful to all those people who work on a day-to-day basis on finding a cure. Although huge advances in research have been made, there is still such a long way to go. I really admire those who fight for a cure, fight for survival, and fight to raise awareness. It’s really moving.
LIVESTRONG Colorado Army, put on a great event. There was an open mic where survivors or friends could share their stories. There was also a glow stick vigil to remember those who have passed. I have now enjoyed this event for the last 2 years, and I look forward to attending in next.
